Design Thinking Outside the Box
Dig into an efficient methodology for developing creative solutions to sticky problems
Dana Mitroff Silvers
WHAT TO EXPECT
- THE FIVE STEPS
Dana will walk your office through an introduction to the five-step design thinking process.
Participants will explore modes for building empathy among themselves and then conduct empathy interviews with partners.
Your team will practice the problem-solving process with a real-life problem: defining and reframing the problem; synthesizing findings; brainstorming potential solutions; and building rapid, lo-fidelity prototypes.
- TESTING & REFLECTIONS
In pairs, everyone will conduct user testing on their developed product. They will finish up by reflecting on the content they’ve learned and processing team insights.
Required from you: a screen and projector, tables arranged in a casual “cafe style” around the room, and enough space for the group to gather and move about for warm-up activities.
