OVERVIEW

WHAT TO EXPECT

  1. GROUND RULES
How should participants think about improv? 1) No acting experience is needed, 2) no one has to be funny, and 3) everyone should have a great time!
  2. IMPROV FUNDAMENTALS
Participants will learn that there are no mistakes in improv, challenging themselves is key, and giving their best effort is encouraged.
  3. WARM-UP GAMES
Your team will move, make noises, and act silly together in order to create a more relaxed and connected group experience.
  4. SERIOUS PLAY
A sequence of exercises focusing on building trust, communication, and confidence among coworkers.
  5. DEBRIEF
Participants will conclude with an appreciation exercise. Everyone will receive a handout reviewing what they’ve learned during the class.

REQUIREMENTS

Required from you: an easel with paper and pens, and (if it’s a large group) a mic and sound system.
