OVERVIEW

WHAT TO EXPECT

Welcome and Introductions

Kicking off with a quick overview of the agenda, the facilitator will ask participants to introduce themselves and share what they’d like to get from the session. This ensures understanding and engagement. Interactivity: everyone will have a turn to speak to the room.

A Benchmark | Presenting Impromptu

After learning a skill for presenting impromptu content by telling a story, each person will have a turn “in front of the room”. They’ll practice Aristotle’s rule of threes and gain a “benchmark” for their physical presence. Exercise: group discussion, individual practice with coaching, actively facilitated.

Physical Presence | Eye Contact and Volume

We share proven presence differentiators for leaders who want to make an impression: strong eye contact and a non-distracting, confident approach to gestures. Exercise: group discussion, individual practice with coaching, actively facilitated.

Physical Presence | Stance, Gestures, and “Individual Distractors”

We share proven presence differentiators for leaders who want to make an impression, including a non-distracting, confident approach to gestures. We coach each person on their particular strengths and potential challenges. Exercise: group discussion, individual practice with coaching, actively facilitated.

Action-Planning | What’s Next?

Quick re-cap of the session, plus discussion of what’s next. What will participants do differently? Facilitator offers follow-up info (i.e., “we’ll be emailing everyone a skills overview and links to further resources.”).
