Intro

This riveting talk will look at the rise and fall of “fake news.” Where did it come from and how threatening is it to today's journalism and our political process? “Fake news” is not new — millions have read about the “War of the Worlds” radio show. The show was entertainment, but the reporting on it was not — the stories of people running for the hills was put forth by newspapers who wanted to disparage radio. It took decades before quality journalism set the story straight. The same thing is going on today, and it's affecting the entire political landscape. Learn what is fake news today – and leave with the knowledge and the power to get rid of it. Bob will tell you how, and keep you entertained along the way. People will learn, and they will laugh!
