OVERVIEW

WHAT TO EXPECT

  1. WHY YOUR VOICE IS IMPORTANT
    What is a pleasant voice, and how can we make our voices more appealing to others? What effect do our voices have on our audiences?
  2. VOCAL MECHANICS
    Participants explore how vocal sound is produced. Linda presents the speaking apparatus, and the 3 parts to sound projection, including bad habits and how to combat them.
  3. DISCUSSION & GROUP EXERCISES
    All attendees will jump in and practice tasks like: projecting their voices, articulating vowels and consonants, utilizing their breath, and caring for their voices on a day-to-day basis.
  4. PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER
    Linda will conduct an interactive review of the key elements to sound projection, the importance of breath, and articulating vowels and consonants.

REQUIREMENTS

Required from you: A blackboard/whiteboard, and theatre-style seating with enough free space for participants to do physical exercises.
